Nakuru City Queens, Milima reach FKF Cup rounds of 16
Nakuru City Queens and Royal Starlets solidified their spots in the Round of 16 of the FKF Women’s Cup on Saturday, February 17, 2024, with convincing victories in the preliminary round.
In their encounter, Nakuru City Queens dominated NYS Queens with a 4-1 triumph. Lenah Wanjala was the star of the show, netting two goals for Nakuru, supported by strikes from Lenah Were and Triza Ekesa. Despite a goal from Lona Kwamboka for NYS Queens, it wasn’t enough to secure progression.

Royal Starlets also showcased their prowess, securing a 3-0 win over Nairobi Starlets. Brenda Mukunga’s double and Mary Juma’s goal sealed their advancement to the next stage.
Meanwhile, Milima Queens joined the advancing teams, setting the stage for an exciting Round of 16.
Sunday’s fixtures include Kenya Police Bullets facing off against Embu Queens at Embu Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
Defending champions Ulinzi Starlets will commence their title defence against TUK Ravens, while Makolanders host KISPED Queens. Additional matches are slated for Ruaraka Grounds.
The victorious teams from the preliminary round will progress to compete in the Round of 16, seeking to etch their names in the tournament’s annals.

Reflecting on the previous edition, Ulinzi Starlets clinched the 2023 FKF Women’s Cup, securing a memorable 3-1 victory over Nakuru City Queens at Nyayo Stadium.
