Football Kenya Federation President Hussein Mohammed has revealed that Kenya and Brazil will partner on matters of soccer development.

Mohammed was part of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s delegation to Brazil, and he said important agendas were agreed on, including sports development.

“I had the pleasure of joining Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, during his official visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mauro Vieira, in Brasilia, Brazil.

“An array of important bilateral and multilateral issues were discussed between the two countries, and I’m delighted that collaboration in sports, particularly football, was one of them.

“Just like any other important sector, to achieve real, long-lasting development in sports, we must normalize mainstreaming our agenda at every opportunity. We were joined by the Kenyan ambassador to Brazil, Dr. Andrew Karanja, and the Brazilian ambassador to Kenya, Silivio José Albuquerque e Silva,” Mohammed said in a post on his X account.

The Foreign Affairs CS lauded his meeting with the Kenyans living in the South American country.

“Had a fulfilling engagement with the vibrant Kenyan diaspora in Brazil, who shared valuable insights on living, studying, and working in the world’s fifth-largest country.

“Reiterated Kenya’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for diaspora-driven investment, including opportunities through the proposed Diaspora Infrastructure Bond.

“Assured them of Kenya’s continued stability, grounded in strong institutions and good governance.

“I was accompanied by Dr. Andrew Karanja, our newly appointed ambassador, and had the pleasure of interacting with Beatrice Chelimo, chair of the diaspora community,” Mudavadi said.
