Boxer Fatuma Zarika unveils stunning 3-bedroom mansion
Fatuma Zarika is the newest homeowner in town. The Kenyan boxer unveiled her latest asset on June 4 2022, warming the hearts of many boxing fans.
The mansion is located in a gated community on Kenyatta Road in Kiambu. The lavish asset also sits on land developed by Mizizi homes.
The well-furnished house features a master ensuite bedroom, a modern open plan kitchen, a well-lit entry hall, a spacious sitting room and parking for two vehicles.
The former world boxing champion said she bought the house thanks to proceeds from her sponsorship deal with betting company SportPesa who were her sponsors during her days in the ring.
While revelling in the new acquisition, the World Boxing Champion noted that boxing has impressive financial returns if the sports person lands good sponsors. She added that things only go wrong if the sponsors only focus on current winnings while ignoring the future of the individual.
“I’m so happy and today is a big day for me. I want to thank Sportpesa for the love and support they have shown me. Acquiring this house has been made possible thanks to my sponsors Sportpesa. They not only look at how you play the game but also look after your future,” Fatuma Zarika said during the unveiling of her new home.
Zarika whose journey to boxing stardom was marred by many challenges including disappointments by previous promoters has been able to turn around her life thanks to continued sponsorship by SportPesa.
The decorate boxer was also quick to mention the state of the sport saying that the poor show by Kenyan female pugilists is as a result of various factors including lack of proper sponsorship, training programmes and infrastructure as well as general social welfare due to financial constraints which affects their mental well-being and concentration in matches.
