Tusker FC have officially confirmed the return of striker Erick Kapaito, a move that is expected to significantly strengthen their attacking force ahead of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season.

Kapaito, a two-time FKF Premier League Golden Boot winner, has rejoined the Brewers on a one-year deal after a brief stint with Namungo FC in Tanzania. His return marks a bold statement of intent from Tusker, who are aiming to reclaim domestic dominance and make a bigger impact on the continental stage.

Kapaito initially left the club at the end of the 2023/24 season after scoring 12 goals, but the void he left in the forward line was evident during the second leg of last season, where the team struggled to maintain momentum.

Kapaito ready for glory

Speaking during his unveiling at Ruaraka Grounds, on Friday, July, 25, 2025, the 28-year-old forward could hardly hide his excitement.

“Tusker FC is home and I feel that I have returned to a place where I felt comfortable, happy and loved. I have a deep connection with this club and the fans, and I’m hungry to help bring more trophies to this great team. I’m back, focused, and ready to give my all,” said Kapaito.

Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere welcomed his return, noting how vital his presence will be in the upcoming campaign.

“Eric brings a lot to this team, goals, leadership, and a winning mentality. He knows our system, and his experience will be vital both on and off the pitch. Last season we struggled a bit in the second leg because we didn’t have enough firepower upfront, and his return gives us that cushion,” said Okere.

Kapaito’s return comes at a time when the club is actively building a competitive squad. Earlier, they also announced the signing of promising right back Eugene Ikutwa from Bidco United, who declared his ambition to win titles with Tusker.

Together, these additions reflect a strong recruitment drive by the Brewers, who are determined to challenge for silverware.
