DCI Queens storm Kenya Cup with flawless win over Nairobi Prisons

In a statement shared on X on Thursday, January 15, 2026, the NPS highlighted the team’s confident performance and the excitement generated among fans.
“The National Police Service’s DCI Queens volleyball team has begun its Kenya Cup Second Edition campaign with a commanding performance at the Nyayo Stadium basketball court. In a thrilling opening match today, the Queens secured a convincing three-sets-to-nil victory over Nairobi Prisons, captivating fans with their intense and dynamic play,” NPS stated.

The NPS noted that the team’s consistency across all sets helped secure the win and singled out a standout performer for her contribution.
“The set scores demonstrated a consistent and dominant performance. Their standout player, Caroline Jeruto, was deservedly named Player of the Match for her instrumental role,” NPS added.
Looking ahead, the DCI Queens are preparing for a high-profile matchup against their perennial rivals, KCB, in what promises to be another exciting contest at the same venue.

“With this first win secured, the DCI Queens are now focused on their next major challenge: a highly anticipated clash against perennial rivals, KCB. This match is scheduled for Saturday at the same venue,” NPS stated.
The NPS also emphasised that the Kenya Cup features multiple teams representing the service, with the men’s squads ready to take the court in the coming days.

“The volleyball tournament also features other teams representing the National Police Service, including the GSU, AP Kenya, and KAPU men’s teams, all of whom are set to begin their campaigns tomorrow,” NPS added.
The Service encouraged fans to attend the four-day tournament to support the teams and enjoy the competitive matches on display.
“The Service wishes all the NPS teams the very best and encourages members of the public to attend the action-packed, four-day tournament to support all participating teams,” NPS stated.
