AFC Leopards have stepped up their preparations for the 2025 FKF Premier League games with a 2-0 win over lower league side St Joseph’s FC on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Fred Ambani’s charges rode on new signing Samuel Ssenyonjo’s strike for a crucial lead before Kayci Odhiambo further ensured the victory.

The win continued the team’s fine show in the preseason engagements.

Ingwe downed Zanzibar’s New Kings FC 4-0 on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Dandora Stadium during the team’s players unveiling event for the upcoming season.

Ingwe has been on a signing spree, roping in several new entrants as it seeks fresh tidings in the top league.

New signings

Among the club’s latest signings are former Sharks man and Police FC midfielder Tyson Otieno and left central defender Rami Lasso Coulibaly from Morocco’s Chabab Alam Tanger.

Others are Ugandan Samuel Ssenyonjo, striker Elias Mugane, and Deng Kang, who has been promoted from the juniors team, AFC Leopards Cubs.

Defender Brian Ojok and striker Elais Mugane have also signed contracts with the club ahead of the new season. The former, a marauding fullback, completed a permanent transfer to FKF Premier League giants AFC Leopards SC on Friday, September 5, 2025.

He spent one and a half years at Soy United, where he joined from Zoo FC in 2011.

Highly rated winger James Kinyanjui is also among the new arrivals joining from KCB FC, where he enjoyed a stellar season that saw him score 5 goals with 14 assists.

On the outbound transfers, Leopards parted ways with keeper Levis Opiyo and Ovella Ochieng, who confirmed they opted for novel challenges away from the club.

The two joined Lewis Bandi, who ditched Ingwe for a stint with arch rivals Gor Mahia FC during the CHAN competitions in Nairobi.

In a positive development, the attacking pair of Kayci Odhiambo and experienced striker Victor Omune committed to the club by agreeing to new contracts.

FC Leopards will get their campaign underway on Saturday, September 20, 2025, against Ezekiel Akwana’s Sofapaka.

The clash will be staged at the Nyayo National Stadium from 4:00 pm.
