AFC Leopards unveils 4 new signings ahead of new season

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League side AFC Leopards has unveiled four new signings ahead of the new season.

Ingwe has raided both local and international clubs in a bid to boost its various departments before their first match of the new season against the newly promoted side Mathare United on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

South Sudan captain

The Tomas Trucha’s coached side has acquired the services of South Sudan national team Captain Peter Maker Manyang Mabok.

The 1994-born defender has penned a 2-year deal with the dens. Mabok has 24 caps for the national team and has previously featured for Amarat United, Juba-South Sudan, Zesco United in Zambia , Radnicki Mitrovica of Serbia and Al Dhara in Dubai.

“I feel happy and grateful to join this great club with a very rich history. I am glad to be here with good teammates and staff. I look forward to contributing to this amazing team.

“From the first day I trained with this squad, I have seen a lot of talent in the team. We have had a great pre-season, and there are a lot of positives in the squad. I can guarantee you that we are ready to challenge for the league this season,” Mabok told AFC Leopards’ media.

Julius Masaba

The Leopards have raided FKFPL side Kariobangi Sharks and acquired the services of Julius Masaba.

Masaba who had a stellar season at the Sharks has penned a two-year deal with the dens.

“I once played for the AFC Leopards Under 20 in 2013, which made me want to come back to the senior side. My late dad was a big fan of the club, and it is a dream come true for me. I feel at home.”

Samuel Semo

Samuel Semo has also agreed to part ways with FKF side Murang’a Seal to join AFC Leopards.

The former Mathare United man has joined Trucha’s charges on a two-year deal.

“I am delighted to make this move. AFC Leopards is one of the biggest clubs in the country, the best-supported team in the league with very passionate fans. It also has a very rich history. Personally, it’s a big move in my career. I take it as a challenge to myself because of the stiff competition I’m anticipating to get as we start the league.” Semo stated after signing his contract.

Sydney Lokale

Sydney Lokale has joined AFC Leopards on a one-year contract. The 23-year-old centre-forward has previously featured for Kariobangi Sharks, HIFK, Finland, KCB FC and FC Saint Eloi Lupopo in Congo.

The additions are expected to help AFC Leopards to exert dominance and push for silverware in the 2024/25 season.
