AFC Leopards edge Bongonaya FC in pre-season friendly
FKF Premier League giants AFC Leopards edged 1-0 Bongonaya in a pre-season friendly played on Saturday morning at Don Bosco grounds in Karen.
The winning goal was scored by youngster Lauren James, and AFC Leopards successfully held on to the slim lead throughout the match.

AFC Leopards, led by their new Head Coach, Tom Juma, utilized this match as their first build-up game ahead of the upcoming season.
The team is gearing up for the new campaign after parting ways with Belgian coach Patrick Aussems, who left the club for personal reasons.
Meanwhile, AFC Leopards’ arch-rivals, Gor Mahia, have also begun their pre-season friendlies. They recently secured a 2-1 win over Bidco United in their first friendly match at the M-Pesa Foundation academy and are currently leading 2-0 in their second friendly.
Gor Mahia, as the reigning Kenya Cup champions, is determined to retain their title after facing disappointment in the previous season, where they were eliminated from the Champions League despite winning the league championship. Their license was withdrawn, adding to the challenges they face in their quest for success.
Kakamega Homeboyz in Uganda
In other pre-season action, FKF Cup winners Kakamega Homeboyz encountered a tough challenge in a friendly match against Ugandan giants KCCA.
Unfortunately, Kakamega Homeboyz suffered a 2-0 defeat, with Arafat Usama and Julius Poloto netting for the Ugandan side.

In Rwanda, FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC are on their third international friendly match.
After drawing 1-1 against Tanzanian sides Singida and Namungo, they now face a challenging fixture against Rwandan outfit Rayon Sports at the Pele Stadium in Kigali, with kick-off scheduled for 5: 00 pm.
On the same day, Bandari FC, another prominent team from Kenya’s top-flight league, will be crossing borders to face Tanzanian side Azam FC at the Chamazi Complex in Dar es Salaam.
This encounter promises to be an exciting test for Bandari FC as they look to fine-tune their squad and tactics before the new season kicks off.
