AFC Leopards has appointed a Constitution Review Team to spearhead the process of reviewing and updating its constitution.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the club announced the appointment of  Asava Kadima, Ibrahim Alubala, Bramwell Luane, Irene Sitawa, Suleiman Angulu, Ronald Namai (Club CEO as an ex officio), and the Registrar of Sports representative.

The club revealed that the team is part of a broader effort to strengthen the club’s governance structures and align operations with the provisions of the Sports Act 2013.

“We are pleased to inform you that the club has officially appointed a Constitution Review Team to lead the process of reviewing and updating the AFC Leopards constitution. Further, the Club emphasised the significance of this initiative, noting that the updated constitution will reflect modern sporting standards while ensuring greater transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness.

“We urge all members and fans to fully cooperate with the review team and to actively participate by sharing your views, ideas, and suggestions. This is your opportunity to shape the future of our beloved club. Let your voice be heard passionately and constructively,” read the statement.

The review process is expected to conclude by the end of September 2025.

The club will provide further details on upcoming engagement forums and how stakeholders can contribute through its official communication channels.

AFC Leopards urged fans and members to rally behind the initiative, saying, “Together, let us build a stronger and more united AFC Leopards for the pride of Ingwe.”

Reviving AFC

This comes a day after Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka called on leaders from the Western region to back their words with action and rally behind AFC Leopards, urging unified support to restore the club’s former continental glory.

Speaking during the AFC Leopards Gala Night hosted at his Kanduyi backyard in Bungoma County on Saturday, July 26, Lusaka, an ardent Ingwe supporter and club patron, said it was time to move beyond rhetoric.

“AFC Leopards is the symbol of Western Kenya, and we must come together and revive the pride of the Mulembe Nation. Ingwe is more than football—it’s our identity. Let’s move from talk to action,” Lusaka said.

He proposed a monthly contribution model involving regional leaders and professionals to support the club’s financial sustainability.
