Ex-AFC Leopards’ ace among three signings unveiled at Bandari
FKF Premier League side Bandari FC have unveiled three new signings ahead of the 2022/23 league campaign scheduled for August kick-off.
The club has acquired fullback Omar Somobwana from AFC Leopards and he was unveiled alongside former Kariobangi Sharks forward Felix Oluoch and Mohamed “Mudiga” Abeid from Coastal Heroes.
Somobwana deal
Somobwana has agreed to terms with the Dockers on a two-year contract, ending his affiliation with AFC Leopards, whom he joined in 2020. The right-back, who has represented Kenya under-20, was loaned out by Leopards to Coastal Heroes in 2022.
The fullback stated after being announced as a Bandari FC player that he had fulfilled his goal to play for his hometown club.
“Today I realized my dream of playing for my hometown team, Bandari FC. I am eager to join my teammates, fight for the squad, and bring home the titles,” he said.
Oluoch, on his part, has penned down a three-year deal. The forward netted 12 goals in 24 appearances for the Sharks who announced his departure on Monday. He just spend a season at Sharks.
“I am very happy to join Bandari FC. I have spoken with Coach Anthony Kimani and his objectives are compatible with mine. I feel this is the right place for me,” Oluoch told Bandari FC media.
Abeid joins
Abeid, on the other hand, joins Bandari penning down a two-year deal and can play in any position in attack.
“I am happy, I have finally been able to sign a contract with Bandari and I am looking forward to doing well next season. I will do everything I can to learn from coach Anthony Kimani, so that I can help the club achieve its goals,” he stated.
Bandari finished fourth last season and will be looking to improve next season.
