You’ve mistreated us for 4 years – Ruto tells Uhuru
Deputy President William Ruto has called out President Uhuru Kenyatta for “mistreating him and his allies for the past four years.
In a direct message to Uhuru, the DP accused the President of calling him and his allies names.
“Umetuita tanga tanga. Umetuita wezi. Ukatufukuza katika makamati za bunge na tulikutafutia kura Kenya mzima.
“(You’ve called us idlers. You’ve called us thieves. You chased us out of House committees and it’s us who helped you looked for votes),” he said.
Ruto also reminded Uhuru of what they both went through when they were in the Hague, where they faced charges against humanity after the 2008/2007 post election violence.
Ruto said it is ironical that the President is now castigating church leaders and accusing them of receiving money from “thieves”.
“You have mistreated us and even insulted us even after we stood with you. We forgive you and hand you over to God,” he told the President.
While addressing Mount Kenya residents at Sagana State Lodge last month, Uhuru accused church leaders of receiving money from the corrupt.
