Injendi’s funeral program

The late MP Injendi’s funeral cortège arrived in Malava for a church service at St Teresa Parish Catholic Church on March 2, ahead of his burial.

According to the funeral arrangements for the late MP, on March 3, 2025, political leaders were supposed to have the opportunity to offer their condolence messages.

However, during the burial on March 4, only President Ruto, family members, and church representatives will be permitted to speak, as the family has emphasized their desire to keep the event non-political.

Injendi passed away on February 17, 2025, at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, following a short illness. Tragically, his elder brother, Samuel Injendi, a retired prison officer aged 80, died just a day earlier on February 16 at Kakamega County General Hospital.
