Asike urges Tusker to be clinical for Police date
Tusker FC defender Eugene Asike has emphasized the importance of clinical finishing ahead of their upcoming match against Police FC.
Reflecting on their recent draw with City Stars, where they squandered a 2-0 lead to settle for a 2-2 draw, Asike stressed the need for composure in front of goal.
Tusker creating chances
“We are creating chances, and that is the good thing. It would have been a worry if we were not. Now it is just a matter of being more composed infront of goal,” defender said.
While acknowledging the team’s ability to create scoring opportunities as a positive sign, Asike highlighted the necessity of converting those chances into goals.
He described the draw with City Stars as a disappointing result, feeling like a missed opportunity for a victory despite securing a point.
As they prepare to face Police FC, Asike expressed confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back but cautioned that it won’t be an easy task against a strong opponent.
“We hope to bounce back against Police. It is not going to be easy because they are a big team with big players but we have to be up for it,” Asike said.
He emphasized the importance of being mentally and physically prepared, especially considering the demands of playing three games within a week.
