Commemoration of World Patient Safety Day

The Ministry of Health is today expected to host the Commemoration of World Patient Safety Day 2023.

The event will be held at the Sarova Panafric at 9:30 am and will be preceded by a walk from Afya House to Sarova Panafric at 7:30 am.

Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Susan Nakhumicha is expected to flag off the walk.

Launch of Call-to-Action Commitment

CS Nakhumicha is today expected to officially launch the Call-to-Action Commitment at the Sarova Panafric.

The event will be attended by among others Principal Secretary of State Department for Public Health and Professional Development, WHO Country Representative Dr Abdourahmane Diallo, and AG Director General for Health, Dr Patrick Amoth

Gachagua’s visit to Havana, Cuba

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is today expected to fly to Havana, Cuba to address the G77 summit on behalf of President William Ruto.

The G77 Cuba Sumit is a coalition of 134 developing countries including China.

The latest comes shortly after his tour in Bogota Colombia, Gachagua and his delegation including farmers were attending the 7th Edition of the Coffee Producers and Roasters Forum in Medellin City.

The forum was aimed at offering a platform for stakeholders to hold talks regarding the future of the coffee industry.

Gachagua also engaged in bilateral talks with his Colombian counterpart Francia Elena Márquez.
