Update: Mention of Otieno’s Case

Bob Kephas Otieno, the former Clerk of the County Assembly of Homa Bay, and another individual are facing a lawsuit for the recovery of Ksh26.2 million, which was unlawfully disbursed by the Homa Bay County Government for work that was never executed.

The mention of this case is scheduled to take place at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.

Update: Hearing of Henry Maritim Koech’s Case

The hearing of Henry Maritim Koech and five other defendants is set for this Monday. They are charged with conspiracy to commit an act of corruption and deceiving the principal.

The allegations are linked to the misappropriation of Ksh 12.2 million intended for the upgrade of road construction within Nandi County, a project awarded to Makiki Agencies Ltd. The case is slated to be heard at the Anti-Corruption Court in Eldoret.

Update: Hearing of Monica Nduku’s Case

Monica Nduku Kimei, the former Principal of Chania Girls High School in Thika, and three other individuals are facing charges related to willful non-compliance with procurement laws and offering benefits corruptly.

The allegations revolve around the former Principal’s failure to issue a Notice of Termination to bidders who had submitted proposals for tender CGHS/19/2016, which pertained to the supply of computer accessories. This case will be heard at the Corruption Court in Thika.

Mention: Joseph Muindi Tevulo and 2 Others

A mention has been scheduled for Joseph Muindi Tevulo and two others. The lawsuit pertains to the recovery of a total of Ksh 32.7 million that was disbursed for the renovation of Kenyatta Municipal Stadium in Kitale and the construction of sheds at the said stadium for work that was either not performed or not carried out. This case will be mentioned at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.

Huduma Mashinani

In an effort to enhance access to government services, Huduma Kenya will be utilizing Huduma Mashinani, an initiative to bring services closer to local communities.

Starting this Monday and running through Wednesday, residents in Rhamu, Mandera, will have access to a range of services, including Police Abstract, Police Clearance, NTSA Services, NHIF Services, Birth and death Certificates, KRA Services, HELB Services, NRB Services, and Social Services.
