‘They now have jobs, salaries’ – Mosiria shares update on 2 men he rescued from streets
By Joel Masibo, November 5, 2025Nairobi City County Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, has shared the latest update on the two men he recently rescued from the city streets, along Jogoo Road and near Green Park Terminus.
Taking to his social pages on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Mosiria acknowledged that he knew many thought it was all clout when he chose to help the two men.
Update
”I’m here to confirm that they are now completely off the streets and have jobs with a monthly salary. They both have homes of their own where they live and pay rent. Sometimes, as I clean the environment, I ensure that I don’t destroy anyone’s home, like in the case of these two,” Mosiria said.

The men in question were given a new lifeline by Geoffrey Mosiria months back after they were found living in makeshift structures, braving harsh weather conditions along busy roads in the country’s capital city. Mosiria further appealed to the public to extend a helping hand to people living in destitution.
”I gave them a lasting solution off the streets. I appeal to all Kenyans, especially those in positions of authority, to sacrifice their resources and help people like these two get off the streets, and not to forget the children. I have rescued many and given them a reason to smile and live a dignified life away from the streets,” he said.
Taking advantage
Geoffrey Mosiria went ahead to reveal the secret behind his life-changing initiatives. ”What keeps me motivated to continue working hard, despite the challenges and the traps set by the enemy, is the appreciation and prayers from the good people of Nairobi and Kenyans at large. Your support and encouragement remind me that the work we do to restore hope and dignity truly matters,” he said.

Previously, Mosiria said people living in the streets of Nairobi are more often taken advantage of by the general public and, to an extent, by religious leaders.
According to his earlier statement, the man he rescued near Green Park Terminus was reluctant because many people had previously promised help but never fulfilled their word. Mosiria champions a clean city by asking traders across the county to conserve the environment while doing their daily business.
