Mosiria comes to the rescue of homeless man in Nairobi
Nairobi City County Chief Officer for Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, has once again come to the rescue of another destitute man living in a makeshift structure near the Railways Golf Club in the country’s capital city.
Taking to his social media pages on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Mosiria confirmed the development amid the county government’s plan to decongest the city, restore order and ensure a dignified living and working environment for Nairobi residents.
”Today, I rescued another Rasta man who had been living along the road reserve next to Railways Golf Club, directly opposite Green Park, where he had also created an illegal dumping site,” Mosiria said.
According to Mosiria’s statement, the man in question was reluctant because many people, including religious leaders, had previously promised help but never fulfilled their word.

”Instead, they took advantage of his situation to solicit donations.
This time, I chose to walk the talk. I bought him new clothes, ensured he took a shower for the first time in many years, and gave him food. I will also help him get his hair fixed, secure a house by paying his rent for the next three months, and connect him with a counsellor to support his reintegration into society,” he added.
”In addition, we will clean up the makeshift structure he had erected and restore the area, returning dignity both to him and to our city. Today marks the beginning of changing his life for the better,” Mosiria said.
Homeless man secures employment
At the same time, Geoffrey Mosria also announced that another homeless man he had earlier rescued while living in a tree along Jogoo Road in Nairobi has secured employment with a city car dealer.
”I am truly happy for him as he begins this new chapter in life, where he will serve as the company’s official brand marketer. I sincerely thank Kenyans who stood with him. Above all, I give thanks to the Almighty God for enabling me to be a vessel of help in his journey,” Mosiria said on Wednesday, September 23, 2025.
Geoffrey Mosiria is championing for a clean city, while asking traders across the county to conserve the environment while doing their daily businesses.
