A student from Makutano Boys in Mwala sub-county was yesterday charged in Wamunyu Law Court with attempting to burn a school dormitory.

Appearing before Resident Magistrate Nelly Kenei, the student denied the charge and was released on a personal bond of Sh10,000.

The accused is charged jointly with others not before the court of attempting to burn Kwame Nkurumah dormitory, on the nights of November 9 and 10 contrary to the law.  

The court directed the pro-bono Committee to appoint a lawyer for the student. The case will be heard on April 4, 2022.
