Harambee Starlets will face Tunisia in the Women’s AFCON qualifier tie this Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

The Junior Starlets are angling for the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Ugandan counterparts.

The tie will be contested over two legs, with the first match scheduled between March 7 and 9, 2025, and the return leg set for March 14 to 16, 2025.

Preparations

Speaking during the visit, Tum praised the federation for its support of the girls’ training, as he pledged more commitment and support to the team.

“I’m here because I wanted to talk to the girls ahead of their match. We have seen the best they have done in preparing for the match. We have the U17 who made it to the World Cup too. I have also spoken to the Seniors team. You noticed we have players who are here from different leagues in Europe. We are happy as our aims of identifying, nurturing and monetizing talent are bearing fruits, Tum said.

Tum also noted with pride the number of Kenyan ladies who have made it to the European leagues in the recent past. The PS tipped the experience from the European leagues to help in their endeavours for qualification.
