Sonko breaks down in court

By , February 3, 2021

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko now says police officers asked him to withdraw an affidavit on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister Christina Pratt yesterday at the Directorate of Criminal Invvestigations (DCI) headquarters before he was charged.

Sonko, who broke down in Court today, told Anti_corruption Magistrate David Ogoti that officers asked him to withdraw the affidavit in another High Court matter before they drafted robbery with violence charges against him.

After the emotional display the magistrate asked him to cool down.

In today’s matter he is seeking for judge Ogoti to recuse himself from hearing the matter in which he is facing graft charges over a Sh10 million revenue tender at City hall.
