Namwamba to hand over stadiums for renovation
Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba will hand over Moi International Sports Complex Kasarani, Nyayo National Stadium, Talanta Sports City (Jamhuri Ground), and Kipchoge Keino to the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) for renovation.
The sporting facilities are expected to be improved as Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania expect to win the bid to host the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in 2027.
In the handover ceremonies, Namwamba will be accompanied by the Principal Secretary of State for Youth Development, Ismail Maalim, and the Principal Secretary of State for Sports, Peter Tum.
