Ruto sings Kindiki praise in Mt Kenya tour cajolery

President William Ruto yesterday extended his Mt Kenya tour to Tharaka Nithi county, where he praised his deputy Kithure Kindiki for being hard working and respectful as he criticised his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking at key locations, including Tharaka Nithi University, Chogoria, Gatunga and Chuka town, Ruto attributed the achievements of his administration and his vision for the future to Prof Kindiki whom he lauded for being supportive, reaffirming his commitment to developing the region and the nation as a whole.
At Tharaka Nithi University, where he officially opened a new tuition block, Ruto expressed his deep appreciation for former Tharaka Nithi senator’s work ethic and integrity in service delivery.
Seek reelection
“The best thing this region has done for me is to give me Prof. Kindiki, who is obedient, hardworking, full of integrity, and respect. He has greatly helped me achieve and focus on bringing tangible developments to our people and now you can see why I did not want him to seek reelection of the senators seat,” Ruto said.
This praise for Kindiki reflects the growing partnership between the two leaders and highlights Kindiki’s role in assisting Ruto’s government to achieve its goals.
Ruto also commended the region for producing leaders who have had a positive impact on the country’s development.
President Ruto also took a sharp jab at his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of being disrespectful and divisive.
Unifying the country
“The other one was just disturbing me every time, making unnecessary noise. He was not development-minded but only out to incite and divide Kenyans. “he added
This marked a clear contrast between Kindiki and Gachagua, with Ruto emphasizing that his current deputy was playing a crucial role in unifying the country and advancing national progress.
Ruto also focused heavily on promises of infrastructure and social development. He assured the residents that his government was committed to improving their lives, even as they remain patient for tangible outcomes.
He also took the time to discuss some of the key projects his administration had undertaken in the region, including the launch of the Sh60 million Gatunga modern Market, which will boast cold storage facilities and
