PS Muoria calls for private sector support of Tvets
The government has challenged the private sector to partner with Technical, Vocational Education Training (Tvet) institutions across the country to expedite the realisation of dual training.
The call was made by State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training Principal Secretary Dr Esther Muoria (pictured) who said it was only through partnership that learners will have hands-on experience that would enable them to fit in the modern market.
She reiterated Kenya Kwanza led government has rolled out an initiative aimed at linking industries with public training institutions to offer the learners from across the country hands-on experience.
The PS was speaking during the 12th annual international conference at the Rift Valley Technical Training Institute in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county yesterday.
She said that whereas the state department has laid the foundation for the full implementation of CBET curriculum.
