The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party Leader, Godfrey Osotsi, has claimed his life is in danger following his push for the implementation of the 10-point agenda in the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report between the Kenya Kwanza regime and the ODM party.

While addressing Vihiga residents during the Banyore cultural festival on Monday, December 29, 2025, the Vihiga County Senator said a section of leaders in the government is threatening him for being vocal on the 10-point agenda championed by the late ODM leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto agreed.

Life threats

“I am being threatened for pushing the implementation of the 10-point agenda. They are asking me what stake I have in the 10-point agenda,” said Osotsi.

The legislator further revealed that the unmentioned leaders held a meeting in Kilgoris initially to deliberate on his and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna’s firm stances on the broad-based government and the 10-point agenda.

”I have been told some people are meeting in Kilgoris to discuss Edwin Sifuna and me,” Osotsi said, adding that he will not succumb to threats over his push for the full implementation of the Nadco report.

The vocal lawmaker further insisted that without the implementation of a 10-point agenda, there is no need for a broad-based government. “I am ready to die defending the implementation of the 10-point agenda. There is no need for a broad-based government if the 10-point agenda is not implemented,” he asserted.

Killing Raila’s ideology

Osotsi observed with concern that there are leaders who are killing the late Raila Odinga’s ideology, adding that the former Prime Minister stood firm on the 10-point agenda and the NADCO report. He said ODM will only engage the Kenya Kwanza government for 2027 negotiations if the NADCO and 10-point agenda are fully implemented.

While addressing the Senate on Wednesday, December 2, 2025, Osotsi congratulated the Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunities for its detailed report on diversity and inclusivity in the public sector. He singled out Senator Muhammad Chut, chair of the committee, for revitalising a body that had previously been considered.

He, however, also warned that ODM will not support the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the 2027 elections if the party fails to implement the 10-point agenda.
