Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi surprised a local preacher with a generous gift on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Mosoriot, Nandi County, handing him a motorcycle, cash, and a promise of a full wardrobe.

The gesture came as the preacher, known for his tireless work in the community, struggled to make ends meet.

“Kuna huyo mtu wangu wa pikipiki, nimefikiria ningoje lakini nikipostpone labda hatalala, nikona pesa ya pikipiki hapa. Hii ni Ksh170, nunua pikipiki ya Ksh160,000, weka insurance na uweke mafuta ya miezi mbili. Huyu mtu wangu tumemnunulia pikipiki, nampea pia suite pair nne akae vizuri,” Sudi said.

The MP didn’t stop at the motorcycle, insisting the preacher’s wardrobe also needed a serious upgrade.

“Si ukimsaidia mtu unamsaidia yote ndio akae vizuri. Huyu jamaa nimekuja area hii nikamkosa; yeye ako kila mahali na anasalimia kila mtu, ni mtu wa bidii. Suti yangu nibei gali sasa lazima uoge kila siku,” Sudi added, with his signature humour.

The preacher, who has been active in the community for several years, was visibly moved by the support. The gift of the motorcycle is expected to ease his daily travel challenges as he continues his ministry and community work.

“This humble man of God has been tirelessly tarmacking by foot to spread the word, and his dedication inspired me to bless him in a special way,” Sudi said.

Meanwhile, the promise of suits, shirts, shoes, and socks has already sparked laughter among locals, who joked that the preacher might now be the best-dressed man in the area.

Residents praised Sudi for the thoughtful gesture, noting that it not only helps the preacher practically but also boosts his morale.

“His selflessness is a shining example to us all. May his faith and spirit continue to inspire many,” said one local.

Sudi’s unique blend of humour and generosity seems to have made a lasting impression on both the preacher and the wider Nandi community, showing that a little kindness and a full wardrobe can go a long way.
