Heavy rains

The heavy rains being witnessed in some parts of the country are expected to continue on Friday, November 3, 2023, and extend to the weekend.

The Kenya Meteorological Department, in its forecast, says the wet weather will persist in Nairobi, the southeastern lowlands, the western sector and the coast.

The heavy rains are expected to continue between Friday and Sunday and reduce on Monday, November 6, 2023.

The Royals’ visit

King Charles III and Queen Camilla will end their State Visit to Kenya today, Friday, November 3, 2023.

The Royals have been in the country since Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

The visit is at the invitation of President William Ruto and comes as Kenya prepares to celebrate 60 years of independence. King Charles III’s first visit to a Commonwealth nation as King is to the country in which Queen Elizabeth II’s reign began, having acceded to the throne in Kenya in February 1952.

The King and Queen have visited Nairobi City County, Mombasa County and surrounding areas.
