A man was brutally murder and his headless body dumped in a trench in Dandora on Saturday.

The head of the unidentified man is yet to be recovered though a blood soaked maroon shirt believed to be his was found about 50 metres from where the body was found.

Buruburu Sub-County police commander Adamson Bungei yesterday said preliminary investigations showed that the man could have been murdered elsewhere and his body later dumped in Dandora.

The body had deep cuts on both hands and shoulders, and was wearing socks, vest and a pair of blue jeans trousers.

According to the police, the man could have been killed on Saturday morning or Friday night. Bungei said the torso was then wrapped in a blanket and tied with a rope.

Crime scene

“There was no indication that the killing happened at any of the two scenes. It might have happened somewhere else and body dumped at the quarry to conceal crime scene,” Bungei said.

Police were alerted by members of the public in the area who saw the body.

The body has been moved to the City Mortuary as police launch investigations to establish the identity of the man, the killers and the motive.
