Muranga county shuts its headquarters after a surge in Covid-19 infections

Muranga county governemnt has announced the closure county headquarters offices after a surge of new Covid-19 infections in the devolved unit.
In a statement issued on Thursday, August 5, the County Health CEC, Jospeh Mbai, said the decision was arrived at after a stakeholders meeting.
“The County multisectoral Covid-19 emmergency response committe held a meeting today, the 4th August 2021 to deliberate on the status of Covid-19 pandemic in the county, the statement read in part.
“It was noted that we have an upsurge of Covid-19 cases in the County and more so in our County with some of the cases in our offices,” Health CEC Mbai added.
The committee resolved to close the County headquarter offices for 14 days with immediate effect except for essential services.
