Mudavadi welcomes Croatia to open embassy in Kenya

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has welcomed the Republic of Croatia to start its embassy in Nairobi.
The Foreign Affairs CS is in Turkey for an international engagement where he met his Croatian counterpart Gordan Radman. In the meeting, other agenda items, including trade, tourism, and agriculture, were discussed.
“Great connecting with my Croatian counterpart, H.E. @grlicradman, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.
“We welcomed Croatia’s plans to open an embassy in Nairobi, an important step towards deepening our bilateral ties. Our discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, agriculture, ICT, tourism, and more.
“I also acknowledged Croatia’s kind invitation for Kenya to participate in the 7th Dubrovnik International Economic Meeting (DIEM 2025) to be held on 28th – 30th May 2025,” Mudavadi said in a post on X on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Earlier, Mudavadi met with a top official from the World Food Programme and revealed what was discussed.
“Held consultative discussions with the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the United Nations World Food Programme (@WFP), @CarlSkau, on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.
“With Nairobi set to host an expanded UN presence, we explored new avenues to strengthen our collaboration, particularly on food security, climate resilience, and refugee support. I reaffirmed Kenya’s strong commitment to advancing shared goals through strategic UN partnerships,” he said.
Mudavadi represented Kenya in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum that was convened by Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“Kenya values the important role Türkiye and other international partners continue to play in advancing peace and stability in the Horn of Africa. As a neutral actor, Kenya emphasizes the need to reinforce African-led solutions through institutions established by African states.
“With limited resources, it is essential to coordinate efforts through recognized bodies like the African Union and IGAD to ensure sustainable conflict resolution and peacebuilding across the continent,” Mudavadi said after addressing the forum.
