“We were entirely within our rights and as students’ representativeswe couldn’t sit back and watch the institution unilaterally make decisions that affect our well being in school. Let’s meet in court,” said Rusei.

The University was closed indefinitely after students proteste dover alleged poor management of the institution.

They demonstrated against new rules governing the use of the university hostels.

The university has also increased the fees for the supplementary exams from Sh400 to Sh1, 000 which students say is too high.
