Mutuku Mwangangi 

A man has killed his mother and niece after a brawl over a meal of scrambled eggs and ugali in Malindi villlage, Kalama, Machakos county.

Mwanza Kaloki, 37, is said to have attacked his mother, Ndinda Kaloki, 74, and niece, Faith Mutheu, six using a panga after his mother confronted him on Tuesday afternoon for taking her eggs to prepare the meal “yet he had failed to find a job to sustain himself”.

Family members claimed he was bhang abuser.  The suspect’s  sister Rose Ndungwa said it was not the first time he had differed with their mother. 

Machakos OCPD Moss Ndiwa said police were pursuing the suspect.
