Leaders offer goodwill messages to Christians during Christmas celebrations
Political leaders in the country have offered their goodwill messages to Christians during this festive season.
The leaders were led by President Uhuru Kenyatta who said that the New Year season ushers in an opportunity for renewal, fresh opportunities, and for Kenyans to build on the successes of the old year.
“As the year 2021 draws to a close, we give thanks to the Almighty for the Grace, provision, and protection extended to us as individuals, families, communities, as a Nation, and as humanity. This Holy and Festive season reminds us of our shared humanity and the common values that unite us irrespective of colour, creed, or country,” Uhuru said.
On his side, Deputy President William Ruto urged Kenyans to reflect with gratitude, the journey the nation has walked together this year.
“It’s time to reflect with gratitude at the journey we’ve walked this year,” DP Ruto said.
National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi wished Kenyans happy holidays as they enjoy the festivities with their families and friends.
“Wishing you all and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year,” Muturi said
Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka also urged Kenyans to remember and share Christ’s message of extravagant love, compassion and hope.
“Merry Christmas, as we celebrate the humble birth of Jesus Christ, may we remember and share His message of extravagant love, compassion and hope. On behalf of my family and the entire Senate fraternity, I wish you all a holiday season of peace and joy,” Lusaka said.
