Kenya records 1, 001 new Covid-19 cases, 11 deaths
Kenya on Friday recorded 1, 001 Coronavirus cases from 9, 065 samples tested in the past 24 hours.
The positivity rate from the samples stands at 11 per cent.
From the cases, 988 are Kenyans and 13 are foreigners.
Of the new cases, 504 are males and 497 are females.
The youngest is 4-month old baby and the oldest is a 110-year-old.
“Total confirmed positive cases are now 238,852 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,397,923,” Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said on Friday.
Some 1, 115 patients have recovered from the disease. Of these, 1, 001 were on home-based-care while 154 were discharged from various health facilities in the country.
Total recoveries now stand at 226, 037.
Eleven people died during the period taking total fatalities from the disease so far to 4, 757.
