Maritime security enhancement
The Zodiac Pro 850 boats are high-performance rigid-hulled inflatable boats typically used for various naval operations, including coastal patrol, search and rescue missions, and maritime law enforcement.
Measuring approximately 8.5 meters in length, it combines a rigid hull with inflatable tubes, providing both stability and buoyancy, which makes it ideal for operations in rough seas and shallow waters.
The Zodiac Pro 850 comes equipped with advanced navigation and communication systems, which make it ideal to be deployed for duty.
The two are expected to bolster Kenya’s ability to patrol its territorial waters and enhance security along the country’s extensive Indian Ocean coastline.
