IEBC gazettes all November 27 by-election winners
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has formally gazetted all the individuals elected to the various positions in the Senate, National Assembly, and County Assemblies following the conclusion of the November 27, 2025, by-elections.
In a gazette notice no. 176111 and dated Monday, December 1, 2025, the commission’s chair, Erastus Ethekon, formally declared the individuals as duly elected from the multiple mini-polls held across the country.
Duly Elected
“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by Articles 88 (41, 97 (1) (a) 98 (1) 101, 177 (1) (zi and 194 of the Constitution of Kenya, section 4 of the Independent Electoral anal Boundaries Commission Act, sections 39 (1) 1A and (IB) of the Elections Act, Regulations 83 (1) and (and 87 (2) and 3 of the Elections (General) Regulations, 2012, the independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declares that the persons whose names are listed in the hereunder were elected to the Senate, National Assembly and County Assemblies having received the majority of the votes cast in the by-Elections held on the 27th November, 2025 and complied with the provisions of the Elections Act and the Constitution,” part of the the commission said.

Newly elected Baringo Senator Kiprono Chemitei is listed in the first schedule, while the other six persons elected in the parliamentary seats were included in the second schedule.
Chemitei won the seat under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket after garnering 55,246 votes.
They are Boyd Were (Kasipul), Harrison Kombe (Magarini), Njeru Leo Wa Muthende (Mbeere North), Hassan Ahmed (Banissa), David Ndakwa (Malava), and Moses Okoth (Ugunja).
The various members of the County Assemblies (MCAs) were also listed in the gazette notice.
Elected MCAs
President William Ruto’s ruling UDA dominated the ward seats contests with five electoral grassroots seats, as the DCP claimed three seats.
The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) claimed two seats in the Nyamaiya and Ekerenyo wards in West and North Mugirango, respectively.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) clinched the Nyasiongo wards in Borabu constituency.
The Rigathi Gachagua-led party won Nairobi’s Kariobangi North MCA contest through David Warui.
Douglas Masikonde and Dickson Okwiri Aduda also bag wins in the Narok Township and Kisa East wards, respectively, to add to the party’s success story.
Their official recognition now clears the way for their swearing-in ceremonies, with those awaiting to join Parliament anticipated to be sworn in on Tuesday, December 2025.
