Justice to family
“His untimely passing has left us with profound sorrow, unanswered questions, and a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. In this time of grief, we pray for divine comfort to sustain his family and loved ones.”

She noted that she will stand together with the family of the late blogger to ensure that those involved in his murder are brought to book.
“Today, I reiterated my commitment to supporting the family in their pursuit of justice. Albert’s legacy of service and kindness will not be forgotten, and we stand together in demanding accountability and closure for this tragic loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Wanga stated.
Ojwang’s death
Ojwang’ was killed on June 7, 2025, after DCI officers drove him from his home in Homa Bay and booked him at the Central Police Station over a complaint made by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eliud Lagat.

While the DCI states that they handed over Ojwang’ at the police station in good health, police initially indicated on June 8, 2025, that he had hit his head against the wall of the cell severally times and died.
The claims would soon be found as false after a government pathologist’s post-mortem report disputed the police version on the cause of the death of Ojwang’.
In the autopsy report, the injuries found on the late blogger’s body were inconsistent with hitting one’s head against the wall.
Several police officers have since been interdicted and others charged in the murder of the blogger, after it emerged that CCTV footage on the day of his murder had been erased and tampered with.
