Great loss

During the visit, Wetang’ula expressed deep condolences to the family, acknowledging the loss of another towering leader in the region following the recent passing of former MP Cyrus Jirongo.

“Today, I visited the home of former Likuyani MP, Hon. Dr. Enoch Wamalwa Kibunguchy, to pay tribute following his passing last week and to stand with his family at this moment of grief. Dr. Kibunguchy, who also served as Assistant Minister for Health, was a dedicated legislator remembered for his unwavering commitment to education, which he championed both in and outside Parliament,” Wetang’ula wrote on X.

“He made a significant contribution to the growth of the Ford Kenya party while serving as Lugari MP on the party’s ticket and later went on to represent Likuyani with distinction.”

I note with deep sadness that the region has lost two towering leaders — Hon. Cyrus Jirongo and Hon. Dr. Enoch Kibunguchy — and I pray for God’s protection and comfort upon his widow, Mrs. Josephine Menjo, and their children as they come to terms with this great loss. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace,” Wetang’ula stated.
