Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Friday, December 6, 2024, was hosted to a meeting within the home of Farouk Kibet in Uasin Gishu.
The meeting which brought together key leaders in the Kenya-Kwanza government structure as well as other leaders from the larger Western-Kenya region was said to be about development matters.
In a statement, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi indicated that the night meeting was a perfect escape from the nation’s politics.
“Taking a well-deserved pause from the whirlwind of high-octane politics, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki unwinds at the residence of Farouk Kibet in Uasin Gishu County,” Sudi said.
Kindiki, who assumed office on November 1, 2024, called the meeting a fire-side consultative meeting, with the details remaining scanty.
“Fireside consultative forum with Rift Valley Region and neighbouring counties elected leaders on priority development projects and implementation of Government programmes,” Kindiki noted in a statement.
