‘Raila should be arrested for attempting to overthrow gov’t’ – CS Wahome
Water and Sanitation Cabinet Secretary (CS) Alice Wahome has joined a section of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders in calling for the arrest of Azimio la Umoja -one Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga.
In a statement shared via her official Twitter account, the CS noted that the Azimio leader should be arrested as soon as possible because he was attempting to overthrow the government.
She also stated that it was unacceptable for the former prime minister to call for demonstrations and refrain from ‘condemning’ the negative aftermath of it.
“It is unacceptable for Raila to call Mandamano and when they turn Violent killing people and destroying property he has no mind or tongue to condemn the destruction. He is carrying out a coup on the Government and this is Criminal. He should be arrested and prosecuted,” she stated.

Wahome’s remarks come ahead of the opposition’s anti-government protests slated for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The move by the Azimio coalition has attracted sharp criticism from the government with leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza coalition asking Raila to call off the protests.
Led by President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, the government said the protests should be called off as they were hurting the country’s struggling economy.
However, Azimio has remained hell-bent on continuing with the protests until the government bows to pressure and meets their demands.
