The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Clarence Awuor Otieno as the Registrar of the High Court.

The appointment takes effect from July 24, 2023.

Awuor joined the Judiciary as a Resident Magistrate in 2008, she rose through the ranks serving in the positions of Senior Resident Magistrate, Principal Magistrate and Senior Principal Magistrate.

Until her appointment, she was Acting Registrar, High Court from May 31, 2023.

Prior to joining the Judiciary, Awuor worked as an Advocate at Ocharo & Company Advocates between 2004-2007, following her admission to the bar on December 16, 2004.

In her new role, Awuor will oversee the coordination of support services in all High Court stations in the country.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.

“JSC thanks Awuor for her dedicated service and wishes her success in the new assignment,” JSC said in a statement.
