Caleb Amisi unveils Kenya Moja’s key agenda ahead of 2027 poll
Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has come out to outline key agendas that the Kenya Moja team will embrace once they take over power.
Speaking during an interview on a local TV station on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Amisi, who is part of the team led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, explained the group’s focus as they position themselves under the Kenya Moja banner.
The MP said the team is united by the desire to address the failures of governance that have held the country back.
According to him, corruption remains the biggest obstacle to progress, as it continues to drain resources that should be used for development. The Kenya Moja team also sees tribalism as a major problem, arguing that it has divided the nation and prevented fair opportunities for all Kenyans.
They believe that the fight against corruption and tribalism must be prioritised if the country is to move forward.

On governance, Amisi pointed out that the current system has created confusion, with no clear direction in leadership. He highlighted the state of devolution, which he said has failed to deliver as expected, leaving counties struggling due to a lack of proper management and accountability. Kenya Moja intends to push for a functioning devolved system that is free from interference and wastage.
“Agenda yetu ni kutoa agenda ambayo haijafaulu; ufisadi ndio hio unaendelea, ukabila imekithiri; zote hazijafaulu. Angalia vile serikali inaendeshwa, angalia devolution ambayo iko na kizungumkuti kwa sababu hakuna uongozi; it’s chaos. There is no proper leadership in this country; there is nothing moving,” Amisi stated.
The team has been traversing the country, vowing to offer alternative leadership that breaks away from the way Kenyans have been ruled over the years. They want to present a leadership model that puts people at the centre, ensuring resources are used effectively and policies are implemented to benefit ordinary citizens.
Denying third force label
Although Kenya Moja is already being referred to as a third force in national politics, Amisi has urged Kenyans not to see them in that light.

Speaking during a fundraiser in Funyula, Busia County, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, Amisi addressed the gathering, which included the Kenya Moja team, comprising Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Kitutu Chache MP Antony Kibagendi, and Kitutu Masaba MP Cleve Gesairo.
He dismissed the narrative advanced by the media that portrays them as a third force, asserting that they should only be recognised as the main political force.
