She opined that Kenya would be in a far better place if all people in the public service emulated the example set by the president.
Working president
“Our president is a worker. If we could adopt the culture of our president and work with dedication in our respective stations, then Kenya will be in a good place, especially those of us in the public spaces,” she stated.

The CS proceeded to rally the region behind Ruto’s reelection bid to continue the development agenda started by the Kenya Kwanza administration.

“We need to continue the many projects started, and it is why we want the president to go beyond his first terms. Or are you not for the two terms? Some of these projects require consistency and a person with the desire to work and with a plan,” she added.
Her remarks come a month after Ruto blamed the country’s failure to take off economically on retrogressive leadership.
Speaking on Saturday, October 4, 2025, the president decried how lack of appropriate leadership had inhibited the nation from economic advancement, a development he stressed needs to change.
Leaders to blame
“It is us leaders who have failed this country. Kenya should not be a third-world country. We are fairly responsible for where Kenya is today, and we cannot continue that way. We have been talking a lot and getting nothing done,” he stated.
The Head of State stated that he will be taking the lead in the vision to transform the country.
“I have committed to changing course. We cannot go on talking with no action and getting nothing done,” he stated.
Other leaders who accompanied the president in Maralal are Governor Lati Leleit, Naisula Lesuuda, Senator Hezena Lemaletian, Samburu East and West MPs, among others.
