President William Ruto has joined the congregation of ACK Pro-Cathedral for the Sunday service in Maralal, Samburu County, for a Sunday service, a day after he toured Kajiado County on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

The president is accompanied by a delegation that includes area governor Lati Leleit, among others.

The president is expected to tour the Baragoi Market and launch the Baragoi Last Mile Electrification project in the region, according to an update from the governor.

Ruto’s visit to the region will roll over to Monday, November 10, 2025.

Among the development projects he is scheduled to oversee on Monday are the affordable housing projects in the region and the commissioning of the Kisima-Wamba and Maralal-Baragoi Roads and the Yiamo Dam Treatment Plant.

Ruto in Kajiado

In Kajiado, the head of state oversaw the official handing over of Amboseli National Park to Kajiado County during the final day of the function.

During the event, Ruto promised to support the Maa community, working closely with their county governments to strengthen the legacy of environmental conservation.

He highlighted the Maa community’s long history of peaceful coexistence with wild animals as a factor in reversing the decree of injustice that had stayed for over five decades.

“I do not doubt that Amboseli will be better than it has been. This is the correct thing to do. The Maa have demonstrated that they can live harmoniously with wild animals, and they are great conservationists.

“I also congratulate you for helping us boost our tourism; it’s why it is just and correct to bring back the Amboseli to the people who know about wildlife and conservation,” he added.
