Former Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Defence Aden Duale has issued a statement moments after being sacked.

In a statement shared on X, Duale thanked President William Ruto for entrusting and giving him an opportunity to serve the people of Kenya under his administration.

While quoting quran, Duale said God is the best planner adding that he will forever be indebted to Ruto and Kenyans.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto for entrusting me with the role of Cabinet Secretary for Defence in the first Kenya Kwanza Administration. I am deeply honored and will forever be indebted to him and the people of Kenya for this opportunity to serve our great nation,” he said.

“As the Quran says, “But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners” (Quran 8:30).”

Duale is among the 21 Cabinet Secretaries who were fired on Thursday, July 11, 2024, by Ruto who promised to form a new government.
