Why Kenyans must ignore Gachagua and his murima shenanigans – Didmus Barasa
By Mustafa Juma, February 9, 2025Kimilili Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Didmus Barasa has urged Kenyans to ignore former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking in an undated video that was shared on his official X account on Sunday, February 9, 2025, Barasa argued that Gachagua proved to be a worst leader the moment President William Ruto jetted out, leaving the country in his hands in the wake of the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition protests that were being led by Raila Odinga to contest the 2022 election results.
Barasa in the video linked Gachagua to various crime incidents that happened during the said time, including the raiding of former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family property in Northlands, Ruiru.
Barasa on Gachagua’s conduct
The controversial lawmaker further linked Gachagua to an incident that saw the security detail of Mama Ngina Kenyatta withdrawn.
He went ahead to argue that Gachagua did more evil that all the previous governments, for the three days he was in charge of the country, claiming that Raila would also have been hurt should he have continued with his anti-Ruto protests.
Kwanza walikuwa amepanga waumize mpaka Raila Odinga,” Barasa said.
“Wewe Rigathi Gachagua wakati uliachiwa nchi as an acting president you did more evil than what all the previous governments have ever done. Kwa hivo huyo ni mtu akiongea nchi inapaswa kulia na kutoa machozi, No one should listen to Rigathi Gachagua.”
