Sudi fires back at Gachagua for calling him class 3 dropout
By Mabonga Makhanu, August 3, 2025Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has hit back at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua after he referred to him and Farouk Kibet as Standard Three and Standard Six dropouts.
In a video posted on his account on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Sudi defended himself and Kibet, pointing out that their input had significantly influenced Gachagua’s political journey, including his rise to the position of deputy president before impeachment.
“Atleast Kama mtu wa standard 3 na standard 6 waneza advise mtu akuwe president sisi tuko mbele sana if sisi tuliweza kuku advice mpaka ukakuwa deputy president ulashindwa tu kufanya kaz, if sisi tulimake sure ukae kwa kiti ya Naibu wa rais lakini ukatuangusha” Sudi said
Sudi noted that if individuals labelled as Standard Three and Standard Six dropouts could advise someone into becoming president, then they had clearly achieved more than what was being suggested.
He reminded Gachagua that they were instrumental in ensuring he secured the position of deputy president, only for him to later fail to deliver in office.
He further pointed out that President William Ruto, despite holding multiple degrees, had listened to their advice and managed to ascend to the highest office in the land.
He questioned why Gachagua, who holds only one degree, could not adopt the same humility and take counsel from them, or if he could have done so he could still be in office serving as deputy president.
Spelling doom to Gachagua
This comes days after telling off former DP Rigathi Gachagua, cautioning the politician that his bid to lead the country as president remains doomed.
Speaking during a burial ceremony on Friday, August 1, 2025, Sudi observed that the former DP should tone down his rhetoric aimed at sowing division among Kenyans after he failed to serve the nation when serving as the second in command.

“I want to tell Gachagua that Ruto is going nowhere and he will never rule this country unless he uses the backdoor. I want to tell him that if Ruto gets elected for a second time, you have to start preparing for your burial. I have seen that you are now under much pressure. You were given an office and failed, and you are now just bickering around and spewing tribal talk,” he said.
Sudi further warned against perpetuating tribal politics, stating that Kenyans must remain united and enjoy the right to reside in any part of the country.
He particularly challenged politicians and the men of the cloth to take a leading role in advocating for peaceful coexistence among communities.
“If you’re a Kikuyu and you live in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, that’s your home. This politics of saying our people”—where do you want to take the people who have been born here to? We suffered so much as a community here in Eldoret during the post-election violence, and we cannot allow a return to those days,” he added.
You cannot be speaking all the time of our people, our people in every forum you attend,” he emphasised.
Sudi concluded by cautioning Kenyans living in the diaspora against being misled by Gachagua’s statements, urging them to remain objective and avoid being influenced by divisive rhetoric.
