Rigathi Gachagua gives ultimatum to Mt Kenya leaders betraying region

It is now gloves off for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in his political attack on his former boss, President William Ruto, and his supporters, as he continues to undress them in public with fiery remarks and unrelenting accusations.
Gachagua, no longer holding back, has escalated his rhetoric, calling the president a seasoned liar while delivering a stern ultimatum to the leaders of the Mt Kenya region who are still aligning with him.
Speaking in Meru on Sunday, February 23, 2025, Gachagua, who made a donation of Ksh500,000 to the church he was visiting, said Mt Kenya leaders had sent him to deliver a warning to those betraying the community, declaring that there was no space for them in the region for the next 50 years.
“This community, the Mt Kenya region, will deal with traitors for the next 50 years. We are going to send a very strong signal to all those who have betrayed the Mt Kenya community. Those who have betrayed the community and sold out will be sent packing, one way or another,” he said.
He further added that even President William Ruto, who thinks he is the kingpin in the region, would not be spared, stating that the clock was ticking for him to go.
“Together with William Ruto, we will remove everyone, one way—you will all go home,” Gachagua asserted.
Token
The former deputy president, who also vowed to speak further about his political alignment on February 24, 2025, also cautioned Meru residents against entertaining invitations from President William Ruto to visit him in Karen or accepting any of the handouts he was distributing in an attempt to win them over.
Gachagua told them to understand that the money he was distributing was from his blood-stained wealth, acquired at the cost of massacred Gen Z protesters.

He asserted that the funds Ruto was dispensing were nothing more than taxpayer money that should have been channelled into crucial services such as purchasing medicine for hospitals, rather than being used as bribes to sway political allegiance.
“You don’t need a meeting in Nairobi to understand the issues in Meru. And this talk about bribing people—what he is giving is money that should be used for buying medicine, not bribing leaders. Let me tell you, those who take that money, it’s cursed. It’s blood-stained from Gen Z. These are the same people who oversaw the killing of Gen Z, who killed our children. They carry the blood of our Gen Z children. This is money that should go to hospitals for medicines,” he said.
Dire consequences
Gachagua did not hold back as he warned Meru residents that dire consequences would befall anyone who dared to invest the ill-fated money in development projects, school fees, or livestock.
He declared that any attempt to use the president’s handouts to purchase cattle would result in inevitable loss, with the animals mysteriously perishing.
He insisted that those who chose to take the money should squander it immediately at the marketplace and return home empty-handed.
According to him, Ruto’s fortune was built on the blood of Gen Z protesters, and anyone who sought to profit from it risked invoking a curse that could wreak havoc on their lives for years to come.
“If you take 5,000 shillings, that’s fine, but don’t mix it with your own money. Don’t use it to pay school fees or buy goats—it will kill your livestock. This money is for eating at the market, drinking soda, buying meat, and then going home. Even if you love your wife and want to eat with her, take her to the market to eat there. That money is cursed. Those people are the ones who oversaw the killing of our Gen Z youth,” he added.
