ODM leader Raila Odinga has on Sunday November 7, 2021 attended a church service in Makongeni, Nairobi county as he seeks to sell his 2022 presidential candidature in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.

Raila joined the Legio Maria church of Makogeni for a morning service before proceeding to address whistle-stop rallies. The presidential hopeful was flanked by Makadara MP George Aladwa, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Suna East MP Junet Mohammed among other leaders.

In one of his stopovers, Raila assured residents that he will engage President Uhuru Kenyatta to see the return of the Kazi Mtaani programme.

Raila also stated that the Building Bridges Initiative will be back should he ascend to power.

The former premier’s Nairobi tour comes just a day after he held a string of rallies in Nyandarua County. Raila sought to bolster his political fortunes in the vote-rich Mt Kenya region that is largely perceived as a Ruto stronghold.
