My government will set aside Ksh 100 billion to revive flopped big four agenda – Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto now says his government will set aside Ksh 100 billion for the implementation of the big four agenda.
He said that the legacy projects initiated by his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta will be his priority assignment should he assume power in August next year.
Some of the projects Ruto said he will revive include food security, affordable housing, universal health care, manufacturing and Job creation.
Ruto who was addressing various gatherings in Thika, Kiambu County said that the only way to unemployment in Kenya is by empowering those in the lower economic class by helping them start income-generating activities.
“Through our bottom-up economic model will execute the big four agenda by setting aside Ksh 100 billion,” the DP said.
Ruto claimed that the big four plan was interrupted by the handshake pact between the President and former prime minister Raila Odinga.
He said that the handshake diverted the attention to Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), a plan that was thwarted by the courts.
The second in command will be touring various parts of Thika before he leaves for Gatundu North in the same county.
The DP will however not be visiting the president’s backyard (Gatundu South), a move that political pundits have attributed to lack of mobilizers in the Constituency.
