Murkomen, Cherargei bury hatchet during Ruto visit
Rift Valley political arch-rivals Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and outspoken Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei on Sunday shared the same platform after months of war of words.
Murkomen has is the recent past come under fire from some leaders in the region, notably Cherargei over the implementation of road projects in the region.
The duo steered off the issue in front of President William Ruto during a church service at Iten in Elgeyo Marakwet on Sunday seemed to strike a reconciliatory note.
Murkomen took the time to thank residents in his Elgeyo Marakwet County for electing him three times as senator before he was appointed CS in Kenya Kwanza administration.
Cherargei on his part lauded the president for his efforts to lead the country despite opposition over some of his policies including the controversial housing levy.
